A sterile, adhesive-edge, contoured, hydrocellular polyurethane foam dressing with a tri-layered structure that combines the characteristics of Euroderm foam with the convenience of a conformation that fits the sacral region.
The dressing consists of an adhesive polyurethane film that is impermeable to liquids and bacteria but permeable to air, an absorbent layer of hydrocellular polyurethane, and a perforated polyurethane layer that does not adhere to the wound and allows for painless, trauma-free removal.
The dressing's special shape reduces the possibility of accidental detachment due to frictional forces by prolonging its permanence in situ, resulting in reduced costs in wound management.
Euroderm foam plus sacral can be used as a secondary dressing with cavity dressings in combination with hydromed gel in the presence of necrotic tissue or fibrinous lesions. The dressing may remain in place for up to 5 days; however, frequent inspection is recommended.
Dressing changes are related to wound types, exudate amounts, and clinical conditions. Euroderm foam plus sacralis latex free.
Indications: Pressure ulcers in the sacral area, stage 1 to 4 pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, 1st and 2nd degree burns, skin sampling sites
Benefits:
- High absorption capacity: the particular shape of the dressing, suitable for applications in the sacral area, reduces the possibility of accidental detachment due to frictional forces, prolonging its stay in situ but without causing pain to the patient or trauma to the wound, resulting in reduced costs in wound management.
- Highly conformable and soft: the thickness of the foam creates the cushion effect that reduces pressure on the injury and counteracts any friction forces.
- Decreases the risk of maceration: ensures controlled absorption of exudate, as once absorbed, it is retained and evenly distributed within the foam even under pressure, thus preventing exudate from accumulating and moving to the surrounding tissue, minimizing the risk of maceration.
- Breathable.
- Water-resistant.
- Does not adhere to the wound.
- Atraumatic and painless change.
Indications:
- Pressure ulcers in the sacral area.
- Pressure ulcers from 1st to 4th stage.
- Surgical wounds.
- 1st and 2nd degree burns..
- Skin donor sites.
- Decubitus and noninfected wounds have medium to high exudate production during granulation or re-epithelialization.
- It can be used as a secondary dressing in combination with cavity dressings such as gauze or alginates (Eurosorb Roll) and the presence of necrotic tissue or fibrinous lesions, combined with Hydromed Gel.
