Sterile dressing with an adhesive perforated layer of soft silicone gel that extends beyond the perimeter of the highly absorbent hydrocellular polyurethane foam tablet. This facilitates fixation without adhesive tape or using a secondary dressing and allows trauma-free removal of the dressing.
The structure is completed by the outermost layer of the double layer of polyurethane non-woven dressing, which has antibacterial, antiviral, and waterproof properties, significant breathability, and a barrier function to external contamination.
The combination of the polyurethane foam, the soft silicone gel adhesive layer, and the external double-layer polyurethane non-woven film makes “EURODERM FOAM PLUS SILICONE” excellent at managing liquids and maintaining the ideal humid environment for the process.
It conforms perfectly to the lesion bed and to the different anatomical locations of the body, providing excellent comfort for the patient.
Furthermore, the thickness of the foam creates a cushion effect which reduces pressure on the lesion and counteracts any friction forces ensuring vertical absorption of the fluids.
