Eurosorb is a sterile primary conformable compressed, soft and highly absorbent dressing composed of gelling calcium alginate fibers.

In contact with exudate, Eurosorb forms a biocompatible gel that maintains a physiological moist environment, stimulates the healing process and granulation tissue formation.

Eurosorb can absorb up to 10 times its weight of exudate. Depending on the condition of the wound and the amount of exudate, the dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days.

Eurosorb is an integral alginate that absorbs and holds exudates between the fibers. Its advantage is that it can be removed in one piece without releasing alginate residue.

It does not cause trauma to the newly formed tissue, does not adhere to the wound, does not release absorbed exudates preserving the skin from maceration, and does not need to be irrigated.
