Hydromed is a transparent sterile gel dressing with a more than 7O% water content. Hydromed creates a moist environment that contributes to optimal healing, significantly reduces painful symptoms, and stimulates angiogenesis. Applied to the wound, it gives an immediate cooling and soothing effect, promotes rapid debridement of dry necrosis and hydration of scabs, and absorbs and retains exudates. Hydromed is permeable to water vapor, gas and small protein molecules but impermeable to bacteria, significantly reducing the risk of infection from external contamination. Hydromed is removed atraumatically and without release of residue. The tablet does not adhere to the underlying skin because it is highly moisturizing and protective and has a cushioning effect. This promotes the process of granulation and re-epithelialization without damaging the tissues. It can be used in grade I and II burns to treat lesions with necrotic and fibrinous bottoms.

Indications:

Due to its three-dimensional structure and high water content, Hydromed is used for ulcers with fibrinous or necrotic bottoms, "debridement" of necrotic tissue, grade I and II burns, radiodermatitis, torpid wounds, sunburns, facelifts, or other plastic surgery procedures.
